The hardest part of military service for most service members is the necessary transition from Active Duty service member to Veteran. This transition can be hard, not only the Veteran, but also their families.
In this workshop, Shanique will explain military culture and many of the challenges Veterans face as they transition from Active Duty to civilian life. She will discuss how the practice of yoga can help Veterans as they reestablish themselves in civilian life, as well as how yoga can assist Veterans managing mental or physical health issues.
This workshop is for Veterans as well as anyone who is closely connected to a Veteran - spouses, family members, friends, caregivers, etc. Shanique will be providing resources to anyone who may be in need of additional support.
There will be a Kriya yoga practice following the discussion.
