Are you craving a deeper experience of yoga?
Have you always wanted to travel to India, just not sure how to do it?
Then this trip to Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga, may be the perfect opportunity for you. We invite you to join us on this spiritual pilgrimage to Nothern India!
Cathy Connors, who has traveled to India 7 times, will be your guide on this sacred adventure to Rishikesh, a land known for its vibrational healing energy.
We will see the majestic Taj Mahal in Agra, experience Indian culture, and enjoy all of the magic that occurs yearly at the Sattva Summit, a yoga festival like no other.
The Sattva Summit is a botique, conscious gathering that takes place on the sacred lands of Rishikesh, at the base of the himalyas. The Summit is an experience unlike any available in the United States. Revered teachers travel from all over the world to share their teachings. The energy is inspiring and intended to awaken "reasonless joy."
Our retreat journey will begin the moment we step on the plane to travel to India. We will fly into the Delhi airport and spend one night at a 5 star hotel in Delhi before traveling to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It took 22 years and 20,000 workers to complete this perfectly symmetrical monument. After seeing the Taj we will travel back to Delhi to rest, eat, and practice yoga/ The next morning we will make the drive to Rishikesh where we will be staying for the remainder of our trip.
Our stay in Rishikesh
Once in Rishikesh we will stay at Sattva Retreat Center during our time at the Sattva Summit. Bajrang and Gabriel Gendron will be joining us during our stay here as well.
The Sattva Retreat is located in the outskirts of Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga, and home to great Indian epic texts such as the Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, and the Upanishads. Tucked away in the natural beauty of the Himalayas, this haven rests in Mohan Chatti, also known as the path of the Rishis, in a valley alongside a pure waterway that flows down from the mountains and into the Ganges River.
The Sattva provides an intimate space, supportive of deep healing, transformation and harmony. Every part of this sanctuary is uniquely designed to revitalize and awaken “reasonless joy” within its guests, bringing them to experience greater unity with the self.
You will also have the opportunity to enjoy the Sattva Ayurvedic Spa, situated adjacent to the fresh water river and meditation gardens providing the ideal space to slow down, attune to nature and rejuvenate your body mind and soul in the lap of Himalayan luxury.
We will be staying at the Sattva Retreat in Rishikesh where we will receive three nourishing Ayurvedic meals daily. There will be an amazing line-up of world-class teachers offering many sacred traditions of yoga during the festival. In addition to practicing yoga, you will have the opportunity to meditate along the river, listen to wisdom talks, connect with yogis all over the world, enjoy live music/dancing, and make use of the Ayurvedic treatments at the on-site spa.. We will be also be visiting ancient Temples, take part in a sacred fire ceremonies, and dip our toes in the soul-nurturing Ma River Ganges. There will also be many opportunities to shop.
