Chef Brooke Munoz has been on a mission to support a holistic approach to healing though food for the last 27yrs, first opening Titas Kitchen in 1993, a healthy, elegant meal delivery service to a prosperous Silicon Valley. Titas Kitchen as an ode to the film Like Water for Chocolate and the idea that the energy and emotion of the preparer play into that of food itself, subsequently influencing the participants of the meal in the same fashion. Through Titas Kitchen, Munoz made an art of hacking traditional comfort foods into healthier versions of the classics. Having her own 'healing opportunity' she later (2018) discovered the healing power of a raw vegan lifestyle. After attending Living Light Culinary Institute, Munoz opened The Green Boheme - a completely raw vegan restaurant in Sacramento, Ca where she followed the same problem solving pathway to create classic comfort foods into their enzyme rich, live, nutrient dense versions that satisfied the most sceptical of customers. During the 10 years The Green Boheme was open, she received awards for her cuisine, featured as one of the world's top raw vegan chefs in the book Raw Food volume 2 by Lisa Montgomery, consistently featured on local news shows and taught hundreds of people how to heal themselves and truly enjoy their transition to raw vegan food though her classes and foodplan delivery service. In 2018, Munoz opened Cafe Tara in Grass Valley, Ca - an intimate venue featuring hybrid raw and cooked menu. She was solely responsible for creating the menu, budget, training the owner and staff on recipes, plating, customer care, accounting and all the important details of restaurant ownership and management. Chef Brooke is now catering yoga retreats and leading powerful 40 Day Superfood Nutrition Transformations.
